Lachlan is a budding drummer, specialising in musical theatre, jazz and rock. He is also a highly sought-after educator in the North West of Sydney, Australia.

His musical upbringing began at age 5 with piano lessons from his mother, a music educator. The lessons didn't last for long, as Lachlan was a fairly mischievous student, but the passion for music that his mother instilled in him has lasted till this day. His mother is still one of his greatest inspirations. They regularly "talk shop" over a glass of wine. His passion for drums began at the end of primary school. A little-known fact: Lachlan initially chose to play the drums to impress a girl he had a crush on.

Lachlan was deeply immersed in the music programs at his high school and local concert bands. The support network he developed at these places encouraged him to seek out a professional music career. 2008, he started a Bachelor of Music at the University of Western Sydney. He completed the degree in 2011 with first-class honours, majoring in composition and digital musics.

Since completing his degree, Lachlan has worked on establishing himself as a highly trustworthy and reliable session musician and in-demand music tutor. He was also included on Dom Famularo's teaching list alongside some of the greatest teachers in the world.

Lachlan has enjoyed playing with numerous groups and ensembles from a wide variety of genres and styles, such as Dear Dearest, Dynasty Drumline, Central Coast Symphony Orchestra, the North West Wind Ensemble,  Mickey’s Jazz Club, Sussudio Big Band, Three in the Bed (musical), and Rachel Bertram.

Here is a list of drummers and musicians that inspire Lachlan: Brian Blade, Hal Blaine, Art Blakey, John Bonham,  Jimmy Chamberlin, Jimmy Cobb, Stewart Copeland, Chris "Daddy" Dave, Dave Elitch, Peter Erskine, Dom Famularo, Mick Fleetwood, Steve Gadd,  James Gadson, Daniel Glass, Benny Greb, Mark Guiliana, Eric Harland, Roy Haynes, Levon Helm, Ari Hoenig, Mike Johnston, Elvin Jones, Steve Jordan, Darren King, Glenn Kotche, Mitch Mitchell, Bernard Purdy, Buddy Rich, Philip Selway, Ringo Starr, Clyde Stubblefield, Johnny Vidacovich, Charlie Watts, and Jeff "Tain" Watts.
